Setup & Installation
No assembly required. Lay the pad flat across the child's thighs while they are seated, not over the chest or stomach. The sequin side is reversible - brush a hand across it one way and back the other to change the colour.
Put it on before the task that needs concentration rather than after focus has already gone, and let the child lift it off whenever they want to. If the sequins become a distraction rather than a help, turn the pad over and use the plain side.
Cleaning: spot clean only. Do not machine wash, soak or tumble dry - the fill is sealed inside and water or heat will damage both it and the sequin panel. Check the seams and the sequin stitching each time and stop using the pad if any fill or sequins come loose.

How do I wash a weighted product?
Remove the weights first where they come out — the vest weight packets lift out and must be taken out before washing. Minky weighted blankets can be machine washed on a gentle cycle and must be air dried; never tumble dry, as heat damages both the bead fill and the fabric. Lap pads, weighted soft toys and bead bags with sealed fill are spot clean only. Check the seams regularly and stop using anything that leaks fill.
