- Never over the face. The fabric must not obstruct breathing.
- Use in a clear, soft space away from stairs, corners, furniture and glass.
- Not for use during sleep.
- Check the fabric for thinning or tears and withdraw it if the stretch has gone.
- Watch for signs of discomfort and help the child out straight away if you see any — going suddenly still, flushed skin, faster breathing, or pulling at the fabric.

Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle with like colours and air dry flat. No tumble drying, no bleach, no fabric softener — heat and softener both destroy the elastane that provides the compression. Replace the item when the stretch has gone or the fabric has thinned. A garment that no longer springs back is no longer giving pressure.
