A wooden sneaker to learn lacing on, flat on a table. A child learning to tie cannot also manage the angle of their own shoe, and the wood holds still while a real shoe moves.
Your child will build fine motor and sequencing skills while learning a functional task, but much easier than a conventional shoe.
Sit beside them so the steps can be mirrored.
Highlights & Tips
- Flat on a table, not on a foot. A child learning to tie cannot also manage the angle of their own shoe. Take that problem away first and add it back later.
- It is rigid, and that is the point. Wood holds still while the hands work. A real shoe moves, and the movement is most of the difficulty.
- Threading comes before the bow. Get the lacing pattern automatic first. A child fighting the threading has nothing left for the knot.
- Sit beside them, not opposite. Facing a child means they learn it mirrored, and then have to unlearn it.
- Same words every time. Whatever rhyme or sequence you use, do not change it halfway through the week.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I clean wooden toys and boards?
Wipe with a barely damp cloth and dry immediately. Never soak, submerge or put wood in a dishwasher — water raises the grain, loosens glued joints and lifts painted finishes. Check before each use for splinters, chips or a loose finish and withdraw the item if you find any. Store away from direct sun and damp.
Is this safe for my toddler?
This set contains small parts and is not suitable for children under 3. Children who still put objects in their mouths need constant adult supervision.
Do you deliver across the UAE?
Yes. We deliver to all seven emirates. Most orders arrive within 2–3 business days. Shipping is AED 35 on orders under AED 250 and free on orders of AED 250 or more. Bulky items may take longer, and we will contact you with a timeframe if that applies.
