- Two lines, not four. A child only has to decide between big and small. Ordinary handwriting paper asks them to judge four positions at once.
- Capitals before lowercase. Every capital starts in the same place at the top left, so there is less to get wrong while the habit is forming.
- Numbers are taught here too. Formation for 1 to 10 sits alongside the letters, taught the same way.
- Do the letter on the board first. If you have the double line blackboard, build the movement there, then put it on the page.
- Short sessions. Ten minutes a day does more for motor learning than forty minutes once a week.
