Setup & Installation
No assembly required. Unpack the barrel and place it on a flat, level floor.
If the foam has been compressed for shipping, allow it 24 hours to recover its full shape before use.
Use it on carpet or a soft play mat, with clear floor at both openings so a child can come out either end. For crawling and calm-down use, set it against a wall or between two cushions so it does not roll. Keep both ends clear and visible - an adult should always be able to see in.

Safety Guidelines
- Adult supervision is required at all times during use.
- Keep both openings clear at all times. A child must be able to leave on their own, and an adult must be able to see in.
- Only an adult should roll the barrel with a child inside, slowly and at a pace the child chooses. Children must never push it while another child is inside.
- One child inside at a time.
- Use on a flat, level floor, on carpet or a soft play mat. Never on a slope, and never near stairs.
- Do not climb or stand on top of the barrel.
- Inspect the cover before each session. Take the barrel out of use if the vinyl is torn or a seam has opened, as exposed foam is a choking risk.

Can it be used as a calm-down space?
Yes! An enclosed, curved space with soft walls cuts down visual clutter and gives gentle pressure on both sides, which many children find settling. It works better than a tent for a child who needs the pressure as well as the privacy. Keep both ends open so the child can leave whenever they want and an adult can always see in - a calm space a child cannot exit is not calming.
Does it roll while a child is inside?
It can, and for some activities that is the point - an adult rolling the barrel slowly with a child inside gives strong, graded vestibular input. But it should always be an adult doing the rolling, at a pace the child chooses, on carpet or a soft play mat. A child should not be inside while other children push it, and the barrel should not be used on a slope or near stairs. Can I order it in different colours?
Yes. Email us before you order and we will confirm the colour options and the price. Two things to know: custom colours are made to order, so allow 3 to 5 months, and customised items cannot be returned unless they arrive faulty. If you need it sooner, ask us what is in stock - the standard multicolour barrel ships on normal timescales.
How do I clean soft play, mats and swings?
Wipe down with mild soap and warm water, then dry fully before folding or storing. Avoid alcohol wipes, hand sanitiser and solvent cleaners — these are what make vinyl go brittle, crack and split at the seams, and they are the commonest cause of early failure. Never store damp, keep out of direct sun, and never leave equipment in a parked car.
