Eight different pencil grips in one pack, so you can find the one that best fits your child. Different hands need different shapes, and what works well for one child often does nothing for another.
Soft non-toxic silicone, and they fit pencils, pens and crayons. Starting on a crayon is worth trying with a younger child — coloring is lower pressure than handwriting, so a new grip position is easier to accept.
Highlights & Tips
- Several shapes in one pack, which is the useful part. Nobody can tell from a photograph which grip will suit a particular child. Having a few to try is how a therapist would approach it.
- Let the child pick. Between two grips that both correct the position, the one they chose is the one that stays on the pencil.
- Fits crayons too. Worth starting there with a younger child — colouring is lower pressure than handwriting, so a new grip position is easier to accept.
