- One leg, no back. Nothing to lean on means the child holds themselves up, and that is continuous core and postural work rather than seating.
- One height, 30 cm. Measure from the floor to the back of your child's knee while they sit. If it is close to 30 cm the stool will work. If their feet dangle, it will not.
- Short goes. Five or ten minutes inside a longer task. A child on a T-stool all morning gets tired and slumps, and then it is doing nothing.
- Build stable sitting first. This is a step up from a wobble cushion, not a starting point for a child who cannot yet sit steadily on a chair.
- Clear the floor around it. It is meant to be unstable, so treat coming off it as expected rather than as a surprise.

Setup & Installation
- The seat height is fixed at 30 cm. Check that puts your child's feet flat on the floor with hips and knees at about ninety degrees before ordering. Dangling feet remove the base they balance from, and the core work stops.
- Use it on a flat, non slip surface with clear floor on all sides.
- Check the joint between the seat and the leg before each session, and again after the first week of use.

- Use on a flat, non slip floor with clear space on every side. A soft floor is better than a hard one.
- Check all fixings before each use. Withdraw it if the wood splits, cracks or splinters.
