No assembly required. Unpack it and place it on a flat, level floor.

Carpet or a soft play mat is better than bare tile - quieter, and the mat will not slide. Do not place it on a loose rug. Leave at least a metre of clear floor on every side, and look up as well: check for ceiling fans, pendant lights and shelves, because a jumping child gains far more height than the 13 cm of the mat. Keep it away from stairs, windows, glass and furniture corners.

Wipe the surface with mild soap and water and dry it before use. Check the feet and the jumping surface before each session.

• One child on the mat at a time. Never two. Most jumping injuries happen when a lighter child is thrown off balance by a heavier one's landing.
• Adult supervision is required at all times.
• No somersaults, flips or landing on the head, neck or back.

• Use on a flat, level, non-slip floor. Never on a loose rug, and never on a slope.
• Keep a metre of clear floor on every side and check overhead for fans, lights and shelves. Keep well away from stairs, windows, glass and furniture corners.

• Do not jump off the mat onto the floor, or onto the mat from furniture.
• Inspect the feet, frame and jumping surface before each session. Take it out of use if the surface splits or a foot is damaged or missing.
• Check with a doctor or therapist first for any child with low muscle tone, a diagnosed balance difficulty, epilepsy, a shunt, or neck or back problems.
